We are a small local charity (registered number 1095448) and we receive no funding from government. Instead we rely heavily on grants, fundraising and donations to pay our staff and provide resources for the sessions.
You can make a donation directly to a permanent member of staff.
Cheques (made payable to 'Southampton Opportunity Group') can be sent to:
Southampton Opportunity Group,
Swaythling Sure Start Centre,
Southampton SO16 3BZ
Donations can be made online with credit cards via 'virginmoneygiving'. Just go to
http://www.virginmoneygiving.com and enter 'Southampton Opportunity Group' in the box that says 'Find a charity'. They will guide you through the donation process and we'll get gift aid too!
If you shop online (e.g. groceries, Amazon, Play, Interflora etc.) you can be making donations at no extra cost to you! Simply log onto http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk and click on 'Register as a User'. Fill in your details and select 'Southampton (Hardmoor) Opportunity Group' as your chosen
charity. After that, all you have to remember is to log onto your shop through the easyfundraising site before buy. You can even download a toolbar that will tell you whether your online store will donate.
Throughout the course of the year look out for cake sales and raffles run by the group - typically at Christmas.
